Hi, new to the forum. I am also having a problem with the newest version of Malwarebytes premium. When I first turn on my computer and open the Malwarebytes application, I always update my database manually before I do a scan of my system. The first time I click on check for updates, I get the following message in a popup box: Malwarebytes has stopped working and Windows is checking for a possible solution to the problem. Windows never finds a solution and tells me to close the application. I close the application and then double click on the icon on my desktop to reopen Malwarebytes. I am able to update the database without any issue as I always have been able to, Then I am able to scan my system comepletely without any problem as I always have in the past. The application runs fine the second time. This has just started happening since the new version was installed. I am running Windows 8.1 with the latest updates from Microsoft and the latest version of Firefox which is also up to date. I will not upgrade to Windows 10 yet. Your thoughts? Do you need anymore details on my system?

My system is clean, no viruses. I also run Norton Internet security. Both operate together without any issue and play very nicely with each other.

I started a new thread on this issue in the malware removal help section.

Hopefully there will be an update soon.

Hello @floridafuzz and :welcome:

It is disappointing to read your system is having issues and each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized to your unique system.

It is less confusing for everyone if we adhere to this subforum's "one user per topic" policy.
Please start a NEW, and SEPARATE topic by left-clicking this >>cjfj.png<< button now.
Staffers, experts, and helpers will be able to more easily provide both you, and the OP/Topic Starter, with individualized assistance to get you both up and running.

Thank you always for your patience and understanding.
