after scan computer does not work

Hi I recently ran a scan on my computer and when the scan was finished I proceeded with removing the threats that the program recommended I remove. after this the program then said it had to restart the computer. When it started backup I would get to the screen where you would log in to a user then start over, It is constantly doing this. once it gets to this screen it just restarts. I tried to start in safe mode but that does not work either. Please does anyone have any idea what could be going on. my computer was running on windows 7. Thanks
