Having problems renewing MAlware software online

My subscription is running out and I keep getting messages and reminders to renew the Anti-Malware Home Premium.

Every time I click on "RENEW NOW" button in any of the renewal messages nothing happens?

Do I simply need to let it expire and download a new version again?

Did you purchase your original license directly from the Malwarebytes online store???

 

If so: Unless you opted out from or cancelled the auto-renewal, I am pretty sure that your subscription license for MBAM Premium will be automatically renewed via Cleverbridge.

 

When you mention the "Renew Now" button, are you referring to a button in the GUI (interface, dashboard) of the program, or to a link in an email notice?

No. There should be no need to download the program again.

 

 

In any event, we here in the forum don't have access to the necessary information needed to directly resolve licensing issues.

Until a Malwarebytes staff member has a chance to reply here, your best bet might be to contact the Help Desk HERE.

I did purchase the software from best buy, when I bought the computer.

When I perform a scan the Renew Now button appears I also get pop-up notices and neither take me to a link to renew.

I will wait and see what happens in 7 days.

If you purchased from Best Buy, I am pretty sure it will not auto-renew.

 

As of the last I heard, for now, I think you ought to be directed to a new landing page where you will be prompted to essentially purchase a new license for MBAM Premium. This means that you will get a BRAND NEW key from Malwarebytes and will have to click "Change License" in the program GUI to update the license details.

 

I do NOT suggest waiting until your existing license expires to see what happens.

If you do, your realtime protection could lapse, and the program could revert to the Free, on-demand version.

You will no longer be protected.

 

Until a Malwarebytes staff member has a chance to reply here, your best bet might be to contact the Help Desk HERE.

They are the folks best able to fix licensing issues.

(You could try contacting Best Buy, but that's not likely to be the most efficient means to sort this out.)

Hi Jwb4--

 

What daledoc1 explained is correct: clicking a "Renew" button from within MBAM or on any of the tray notification pop ups you should launch a web browser to our website or online shopping cart (depending on where you purchased originally).

 

It seems like something might be blocking the web page from launching.  The best thing to do would be to contact our Help Desk HERE

 

They can help get you squared away.
