Malwarebytes unable to start correctly (0xc0000279

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have had malwarebytes premium for a few years now and recently I found that I am unable to run it, or uninstall it so that I could reinstall.  It says the application was unable to start correctly (0cx0000279). I have attached the FRST files referenced in the pinned topic.  Before I found this post I already ran adwarecleaner, securitycheck, rkill, and SUPERAnti spyware.  Please advise?

Hello and welcome,

P2P/Piracy Warning:

Next,

Download attached fixlist.txt file (end of reply) and save it to the Desktop, or the folder you saved FRST into.
NOTE. It's important that both FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or the folder it was ran from. Please post it to your reply.
