I contact apple and they couldn't help. It doesn't show up in a screen shot for some reason. so I took a photo of it with my phone hoping someone may know what it is. Please help. Just because something is on the screen, doesn't make it an icon. An icon is a graphic representation of something accessible. Yes it appears to be a monitor problem. I'm not running windows its a mac. The monitor is an older one an LG flatron L1720P. I thought maybe someone had seen this before. This sub-forum is provided as a service to help remove malware from MS Windows based systems. I have seen all kinds of video aberrations caused by a malfunctioning display.
