Malwarebytes Premium blocks Crypto from infecting a business!

Recommended Posts

You guys are going to love this.  (Perfect first post!!!) I had to share this as its VERY important I get this out.

I came into the office this past Friday, I was immediately jumped on by an employee. Hey, Joe have you've seen this before?

Which read; "To help de-crypt your files, follow these intructions" I was like holy ^&%$#! We are infected with the Crypto Virus. There were 3 files on every drive of every server. A text, PDF and a internet shortcut pointing to the encryption server. Theyare all deleted now.

I checked all workstations for the source of it, but one. The owners. I go there and both files are open on his desktop with instructions on what to do.

But get this; it was never executed. Malwarebyte Premium prevented the computer from going out to the interent (BTW in Russia) to get the encryption key and start the encryption process. I've attached a screen shot of Malwarebytes doing its job! I blocked on the router to just in case.

I'm so very thankful that you guys are on the ball with this and I'm happy to promote that Malwarebytes Premium to ALL of my clients, as is the way to go!!

Hello joeteck and :welcome:

Since your first topic is mis-placed in a Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE) subforum, a forum Administrator/Moderator has been requested to move this topic to a more appropriate Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) subforum.

Thank you.
