Threats from quarantined files

If malwarebytes quarantines a trojan file, is it possible for it to start an attack if malwarebytes is turned  off for a few hours ?

Hello crusader2828 and

 

If Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) identifies and quarantines a file, that file has been renamed, encrypted and moved to quarantine.

 

The future attack risk from that file is nil while quarantined.

 

Also, the most typical advice given is to use your system for approximately one week before deleting that file from the MBAM quarantine.
