Keep getting Malicious Website Protection since yesterday.

Recommended Posts

I have been getting popups saying Malwarebytes is blocking outbound traffic to a malicious site. It seems to only happen when I am on aol desktop, specifically it seems to happen when an ad loads. There have been two or three different ips but 74.117.199.102, ad.afy11.net seems to be the main one. In the same time I have gotten popups for two other programs, Weatherbug, and Living Earth Desktop, but only two or three times. Weatherbug had the same ip, but Living Earth Desktop seemed to be a legitimate website necessary for the program  92.242.140.21, xplanet.explore-the-world.net.

I think I might. While I have not gotten a popup for 74.117.199.102, ad.afy11.net, since Friday a couple of times since then I have got one that says 72.21.91.8, cdn-api.skim.gs. They only happen when I load a page on AOL desktop. Like I said, it seems like it has something to do with ads loading.

Please Update and run a Threat Scan (Malwarebytes)

Click on settings > Detection and Protection > Non-Malware Protection > PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) detections > Make sure it's set to Treat detections as malware

Same for PUM (Potentially Unwanted Modifications)

Quarantine All that's found

Then...........

Please re-scan with FRST and Make sure the Addition Box is checked.

Post or attach the 2 logs FRST.txt and Addition.txt
