Not Resolved: blocking um.simpli.fi

Not sure why this topic was closed more than 12 hours ago as this is not resolved.  Still occurring on numerous websites. I am on the latest definition database, v2015.09.10.06.

Sorry you are still having issues.

 

It's up to the forum staff whether and when to close threads.

As just another home user, I have no input in that.

And, for the record, the malware rules database is separate from the IP/domains databases.

 

Having said that, this really isn't the best forum area to report IP/website possible F/Ps.

 

For best attention by the IP Research team, I suggest starting with the advice in THIS PINNED TOPIC.

Then, please post the requested information (including the actual IP being blocked) in the WEBSITE F/P SECTION.

What i would like to know is was this a glitch or were people really had something in their machine trying to connect to that website and Malwarebytes white list it.

AFAIK No.
The IP was blocked for a reason, and then the block was removed when it was appropriate to do so.

No.
What you describe would be a "False Negative" -- something allowed by MBAM that ought to have been blocked.
This is the opposite of a "False Positive" -- something was blocked by MBAM that did not need to be blocked.
In this case, it was neither.
The IP was blocked for a reason, and then the block was removed when it was appropriate to do so.
