Crash on program startup scan.

Recommended Posts

So my issue right now is the following. Malwarebytes starts up, does it's check for updates, downloads and applies, but then as soon as it starts doing the prescan operations it crashes and displays a "this program has stopped working" window. I had no issues with this until yesterday. After I re open the program again it's completely fine and runs okay. Did a scan too and nothing found. But I was concerned since I got the crash 2 days in a row on the first program startup.

Mine crashes on computer startup. If I open it, it runs, but I can only occasionally get it to update successfully. I configured Avast to ignore MBAM completely using the suggested file locations(six of them). I will try this and track this question also - thanks for your attention to this matter. :)

Hello @JCitizen and :welcome:

It is disappointing to read your system is having issues and each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized to your unique system.

It is less confusing for everyone if we adhere to this subforum's "one user per topic" policy.
Please start a NEW, and SEPARATE topic by left-clicking this >>cjfj.png<< button now.
Staffers, experts, and helpers will be able to more easily provide both you, and the OP/Topic Starter, with individualized assistance to get you both up and running.

Thank you always for your patience and understanding. :)
