Stuck rebooting after scan and removal

Recommended Posts

Hi.

As so often happens, I was asked by a friend to check her computer for problems.

Malwarebytes found about 1.200 problems.

I'm in no way a computer tech, but these are normally easily solvable issues, with the able help of good software and helpful communities.

After Malwarebytes had quarantined/cleaned it all, it wanted to reboot the computer, as per normal.

It's been stuck at Restarting (blue screen with spinning dots) for about 45 minutes now

and I'm starting to worry...

Is this behaviour possibly normal due to the amount of problerms Malwarebytes found on the computer,

or is it really stuck somehow?

Windows 10

Thanks in advance.

That is quite a lot of detected items, and it could take some time to clean them.... Did the computer finally finish?

Such work is conducted in a special forum area reserved for that purpose, or at the help desk.
