Pop ups even after I've ran every virus/malware scan possible!

Recommended Posts

Greetings! I am new to forum posting so I apologize in advanced if I am not following proper protocol. I am getting an insane amount of pop ups to the point where it will crash my entire browser, I have no idea how to make them stop =(. I have installed Norton antivirus, Malware software, rootkits, roguekiller, and all of these programs have detected and now say I'm clear of any and all viruses. But I am still getting these annoying pop ups!

I have uninstalled my web browsers multiple times with no result. I have noticed majority of the pop ups start when I play a p/c game called "Heroes of the Storm". I have uninstalled that program and reinstalled it with no luck. I personally only use this laptop for gaming BUT I've lent it to my cousin (huge mistake) for a few months and from whatever website he visited created this issue. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advanced!

Step 1

Please uninstall the following programs:

Advanced PC Care

TweakBit PCSupportBar

Step 2

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.

NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST/FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system

Run FRST/FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.

If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.

When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post it to your reply.

Step 3

Please update Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and perform a threat scan. Post your log file.

In your next reply, post the following log files:

  • FRST fix log
  • Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware log
