Unsure which product I bought

Hi.  This is for PBust.  I followed your suggested steps for getting back Malwarebytes AntiExploit.  It did work -- but the AntiExploit version I received is the FREE version.  I purchased Malwarebytes Premium.  Shouldn't there be something other than the free version that I am entitled to have work with Windows 10?

Hi:

HI GONZO.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIP.  I DID AS YOU SUGGESTED BUT I KEEP GETTING THE MESSAGE THAT MY ID OR KEY IS INCORRECT,  I'VE ENTERED THE 2 ITEMS WITH AND WITHOUT "DASHES".  NEITHER WAY WORKS AND I AM INPUTTING THE CORRECT INFORMATION.  ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Just popping in to help with the license issue.

The ID is in this format: XXXX-XXXX

The Key is in this format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

You need to include the hyphens/dashes.

Please be sure you are entering the correct alphanumeric characters in the correct format.
For example, please be sure not to swap "0" for "O", "1" for "I", "S" for "5", "8" for "B", etc; and be sure not to add extra spaces.

Hope this helps,

P.S. Please turn off the caps lock on your keyboard -- it's considering shouting in an internet forum. Thanks. :)

Hi DaleDoc1.  Thanks for your help.  I did enter the info in the format you suggested but Malwarebytes Exploit becomes unresponsive and does not accept the info I input.  I have double-checked the info I input and it is correct per the email I received from Malwarebytes upon renewal of its Premium software.  I'm not sure what else there is to do.

I'm not sure what else there is to do.

Please wait for assistance from @pbust.

In the interim, if you had not already used the Trial on this system, you ought to be able to cleanly reinstall and use the Trial version.

Aside from that, it would probably be best to wait for @pbust, @gonzo or another staff person.

They are the only ones who can resolve licensing issues.

EDIT;  Are we talking about the correct program here?????

Are you referring to MBAM (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware) or to MBAE (Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit)???

They are 2 separate programs with separate licensing.

Take care,

Thanks again daledoc1 for your help.  FYI -- the ID and KEY number that I was inputting is from my renewal of Malwarebytes Premium software.  The Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit came with this software -- at least it did when I was running Windows 7.  I'll wait for a response from @pbust or @gonzo.  Thanks again.

Thanks again daledoc1 for your help.  FYI -- the ID and KEY number that I was inputting is from my renewal of Malwarebytes Premium software.

Malwarebytes is the "brand" name.

Premium means it is the paid version.

What's still not clear -- at least to me -- is whether you are talking about  MBAM (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware) Premium OR to MBAE (Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit) Premium, OR to BOTH of them???

They are 2 entirely separate programs with separate licensing.

Each of the 2 programs exists as its own Free and Premium versions.

The license activation is a bit different for the 2 programs, because the license codes (Key and/or ID) are different format and different codes.

If you are trying to enter an MBAM code for MBAE or vice versa, it will not work.

We would not want you to post your license info here in the public forum.

But one of the staff members will be able to assist you via Private Messaging, if need be.

They will sort it out for you.

Sorry I could not help.

Take care,

Hi LaedyHawk,

if you purchased both products as a bundle, you should have two license keys, each consisting of an ID + KEY combination.

In order to detect which ID/KEY combo works for each program, look at your purchase confirmation. If your purchase confirmation is not clear about it, the following guideline can be used to identify which license key is for which product:

Anti-Malware license ID is 10 alphanumeric characters (without the hyphen): 12345-67890

Anti-Exploit license ID is 8 alphanumeric characters (without the hyphen): 1234-5678

Hope this helps.

Hi @pbust.  Thank you for replying to my inquiry.  I purchased Malwarebytes Premium and this is what I have a license for.  I thought it included both Anti-Malwarebytes and Anti-Exploit -- because I had icons for both and Anti-Exploit was "running" on my PC.  Is the version of Anti-Exploit that comes with Malwarebytes Premium (I'm assuming this is Anti-Malware software) the free version or the premium version?

Hi @pbust.  No need to send a link or receipt.  I purchased ONLY Anti-malware Pro and I did so online last year.  I just renewed my license for another year a week or so ago.  I did not purchase Anti-exploit Pro.  I cannot recall how I got Anti-Exploit.  I guess I must have gotten a message from Malwarebytes asking if I wanted Anti-Exploit and I said "yes" to the free version of the application.  In any event, I'm fine with the free version.  My query started because I just couldn't recall how I initially got Anti-Exploit and whether it was part of the Anti-malware Pro that I did purchase.  If it was, I was then uncertain whether the Anti-Exploit I had before downloading Windows 10 was Pro or not.  Since Windows 10 has now proven itself to be other than it was advertised and has hosed a lot of users applications, I just wanted to be sure the Anti-Exploit that I had prior to Windows 10 was the same as after Windows 10 was installed.  Thanks for all your help.  Apologies for any confusion.
