Ask Toolbar: PUP or malware?

Recommended Posts

Hello all.  I don't personally use Java any more, but in the past, there were issues with Java's installation of the Ask toolbar as part of its other products.  You can uncheck this option in the Java installation screen, but I think a lot of people don't.  I read that Microsoft now considers the Ask Toolbar flat-out malware.  Knowing that MBAM identifies PUPs in its scan with the option of keeping or deleting them, will this now be changed for the Ask toolbar specifically?
