Cimyr Posted August 12, 2015 ID:982916 Share Posted August 12, 2015 So I a few days ago I started the free trial of premium Malwarebytes Antimalware, it's run it's scans regularly in the background and I do an active scan every few days.Today I looked at the icon on the task bar and noticed it had a little orange sign on it with an exclamation mark. I ran a scan myself with no results, and it ran a scan around 4am on its on with the same results.I checked the log and vault and theres nothing quarantined in it and nothing out of the ordinary in the logs. Is it just because my trial is almost over? It has about 7 days left and noticed looking at the actual menu theres an orange sad face type thing next to it so Im not sure, is that all it is? daledoc1 Posted August 12, 2015 ID:982932 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Hello and welcome, @Cimyr: Yes, if your 14-day Trial is coming to an end, you will be notified. That most likely explains what you are seeing.More information about the notifications is shown in the attached screen shots.(If you have notifications enabled, you would see the popup notification from the system tray icon.) Having said that, there are several other reasons for the orange exclamation mark over the system tray icon (such as outdated databases). When you open the GUI from the system tray icon, desktop shortcut icon or Windows start menu, what do you see?More info about v2.1.8 HEREVersion 2.1.8 Release History HEREUser Guide ONLINEUser Guide PDFFAQ: Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions Let us know if you need more help with this or with purchasing a license for MBAM Premium, so that you can continue to enjoy MBAM Premium's real-time anti-malware protection and its other premium features. daledoc1 Posted August 12, 2015 ID:982983 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Hi: To be honest, I'm not 110% sure, as I've never run a Trial myself and don't have a test box or VM.In other words, I'm not sure at what point during the 14-day Trial the notifications on the system tray icon begin.Sorry about that. I expect that one of the forum experts or staff members will be able to confirm that, one way or the other. Having said that, without being in front of your computer, it's hard for anyone to say for sure.It might help if you could please provide a bit more system information. To do that, please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt) Thank you again,
