Hello,

I was just wondering does MalWareBytes have any way of helping to start a pc in the event it becomes infected with something which prevents startup.

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and windows Defender suggested I make  a cd which I could use to boot my system in the event of it becoming infected with Malware.

I hope I'll never have the problem but just in case.

Security set up. BitDefender Total Security + MalWareBytes Anti Malware and Anti Exploit Premium, McAfee Web Advisor.

Hi:

What you describe having been prompted about is a Windows Repair disc -- it is always a good idea to create one when installing Windows, as the prompt advised during your recent OS upgrade.

Are you referring to a MBAM bootable CD?

If so, no, not at this time for home users.

And there are many other products already available from other vendors that already fill that niche.

But we would need to wait for a staff member to respond as to whether such a Malwarebytes tool might be planned.

MBAM does offer the Chameleon technology, which can be used on heavily infected computers, as explained here.

Perhaps the forum staff will have different and/or additional information about this. :)

Thank you,
