hi all,

 

I am trying to install WMB Anti-Malware Anti-Exploit Premium on a Win 8.1 unit.

 

Right at the very beginning, the unit spits out the error:

 

"Unable to connect to the internet. An internet connection is required to get the latest version of these products."

 

I have tried to install it on 3 separate machines, and get the same error on all of them. All 3 units were connected to the same network, both wired and wifi.

 

I was able to install our techbench version of WMB as well as Norton I/S on this unit successfully, update them etc etc.

If through the common router all the systems have unimpeded access to:

http://data-cdn.mbamupdates.com/v1/database/rules/version.chk

Then I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.
