Happens about 80% of time. I have the current version, I get error message telling me it failed to start, service will be terminated. then I have to start the service manually. after that it runs ok.

How do i get it to start at boot reliably?

same problem here after upgrading to Windows 10 Pro x64. Uninstalled the program + deleted installation folder + folder in program data, installed the latest version again and it started at Windows startup. Haven't had any problems with it untill this morning when I got the same error message as above.

all content of program data folder attached

Hi all,

Can you please:

1- Run mbae-support.exe and send me the resulting mbae-default.log? This can be found in the hidden directory "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit". From Windows Explorer, click the View tab and then on the right click the checkbox labaled "Hidden items".

2- Run "services.msc" and check the status of the MBAE Service. Is it "automatic" or "manual"?

3- Go to the Windows Event Viewer, export it and send it to me.

Thanks!

pbust, mbae is set to automatic and is currently running. It did start at boot today.

I have the mbae=default.log, and when I know how to to attach it I will send it to you. I don't see a paper clip or other symbol indicating attaching files in the reply toolbar.

I have opened Windows Event Viewer and find no command for exporting.

Thanks squire!

For attaching files, click the "More Reply Options" at the bottom right.

For exporting the Windows Event Viewer, go to "Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> Application". Right-click and choose "Save All Events As...".

Repeat for the "Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> System" as well.

I have the same problem as everyone else. After a Windows 10 install, Malwarebytes Anti Exploit terminates on start-up. Same error message. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, even uninstalling--->restarting--->reinstalling--->restarting. Every possible permutation (and combination).

1) From services.msc: Startup Type: Automatic.

2) mbae-support.exe (Log attached to post)

3) Two Windows Event Viewer: (The uploader wouldn't allow me to upload the evtx format so here it is)

a) http://www.filedropper.com/mbae1

b) http://www.filedropper.com/mbae2

<imgsrc=http://www.filedropper.com/download_button.png width=127 height=145 border=0/>
<div style=font-size:9px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;width:127px;font-color:#44a854;> >share files free

4) farbar: I'll attach that later by editing this post. It's still scanning my system...

From what we're seeing from all the logs submitted (thanks!), it seems that in most cases the problem seems related to an incomplete upgrade of MBAE pending reboot.

If you are still experiencing this issue, please do the following:

1- Reboot (not logoff/logon)

2- Download and install the latest MBAE version from here

If the above still does not work, try the following:

1- Reboot (not logoff/logon)

2- Uninstall MBAE from Control Panel

3- Reboot (not logoff/logon)

4- Download and install the latest MBAE version from here

Please let me know how it goes.

that's what I did and the problem reoccurded. That 's the reason why I came here.

I rebooted a few times today and all seems to be ok for now

I have the latest version and have rebooted. So, if/when it happens again I will do the uninstall routine and let you know the results. Thanks.
