The default profile settings here at the forum would be for you to receive immediate email replies for any topic you start, as well as any topic to which you reply.In other words, it's not normally necessary to manually click the "follow this topic" button for topics that you start or follow. If you are NOT receiving those notification emails, then you might want to check (at least) 2 things:First, check the "junkmail" or "spam" folder in your email program to be sure the replies aren't ending up there by mistake; AND Also, check your profile settings to be sure they are correct: In your profile, click the "Edit My Profile" button. Click the "Notifications Options" link. Make sure that the first set of settings for "Topics and Posts" looks like the attached screen shot.
