Adobe to Patch Hacking Team’s Flash Zero-Day

Adobe Systems Inc. said today it plans to issue a patch on Wednesday to fix a
zero-day vulnerability in its Flash Player software that is reportedly being
exploited in active attacks. The flaw was disclosed publicly over the weekend
after hackers broke into and posted online hundreds of gigabytes of data from
Hacking Team, a controversial Italian company that's long been accused of
helping repressive regimes spy on dissident groups.(More...)

Will be checking my Windows Update tonight on my desktop computer (running Windows 8.1) to see if Microsoft also pushed the fix.

Edit: A fix was indeed released yesterday via Windows Updates for Windows 8/8.1 system. It requires a reboot and the update is tagged as "Important".

They offer McAfee Security Scan when you download their products from Google Chrome. If you download them from Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox (and any other browsers) they offer Google Chrome and the Google Chrome Toolbar for Internet Explorer I think. McAfee Security Scan is like ESET Online Scanner (a virus scanner), it wouldn't be that bad of an offer IF the scanner was at least good :P
