SDKDatabaseLoadDefaultsLoad failed with code:1812

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone:

Like a few others I'm getting SDKDatabaseLoadDefaultsLoad failed with code:1812 error on a few of my machines. I'm using the free version, ,but have never had a problem before this.

I've tried reinstall and safemode,

1)Open Malwarebytes (MBAM) > History > Quarantine > Delete All
Open Malwarebytes (MBAM) > History > Application Logs > Delete All

Click the Settings Tab

Click Advanced Settings make sure Enable Self-Protection Module is unchecked

2)For the SDK fail error code, I need you to check your scheduled scans.

Open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware > Settings > Automated Scheduling

Do you have more than 1 Threat and 1 Update scheduled?no
If you have more than 1 each, delete all the extras

3) I've also uninstalled Microsoft Essential jus to verify this was causing a problem.

Not really sure what it could be, like I said I've never had a problem with it.

Thanks

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes :)

Please describe what you mean by "on a few of my machines"? Is this at a work place, home, school?

Let's try this first on one of the machines and see if it helps....

Thank You,

Hello Dkipp.    :welcome:

I somewhat suspect that the Windows WMI  ( windows management instrumentation) service is not on.   But more than that, the Windows Installer service is having issues.

as these snippets show:

Error: (06/19/2015 07:34:27 AM) (Source: Service Control Manager) (EventID: 7000) (User: )
Description: The Windows Installer service failed to start due to the following error:
%%1053

Error: (06/19/2015 07:34:27 AM) (Source: Service Control Manager) (EventID: 7009) (User: )
Description: A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Windows Installer service to connect.

Error: (06/19/2015 07:34:27 AM) (Source: DCOM) (EventID: 10005) (User: )
Description: 1053MSIServer{000C101C-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

Those 2 services ( at least ) need to be properly in place.   After that, do a clean removal & new install as per this guide - MBAM Clean Removal Process for version 2x

I'm sorry but Server is not officially supported by MBAM. Server 2003 is no longer supported by Microsoft either. The core OS of Server 2003 just does not fully support the required underlying API calls needed to run MBAM with all features. Depending on the installation and the hardware used you might get it to run but again it does not support running all the features of MBAM. It is highly unlikely that future builds of MBAM will support an OS that old either. It's possible but I wouldn't hold out expecting that it will be.

Thank you
