Trojan DNS Changer detected, malwarebytes wont remove it 2

Recommended Posts

Hey... I have exactly the same problem as this guy. Everything he replied is exactly the same as in my case. No dns changes in network connection.

Yesterday MWB detected this, and every time I remove and reboot, it is ok until I connect to internet. As soon as i connect and run the scan after, it finds same malware. My pc seems to work fine at moments, but sometimes it loses connection - the icon still says connected, but when I try to load a page, i cant. I have to restart to be able to connect again. I have also formatted my pc and reinstalled win 8.1, I am not connected via router, only modem...

I ran the security check and it says this:

Results of screen317's Security Check version 1.003

at first let's try to determine wheher your computer is infected or if it is a router.

FRST.gif Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to your Desktop.

  • Right-click on FRST.gif icon and select RunAsAdmin.jpg Run as Administrator to start the tool.

    > Windows 8 users will be prompted about Windows SmartScreen protection - click More information and Run.

  • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Make sure that Addition option is checked.
  • Press Scan button and wait.
  • The tool will produce two logfiles on your desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
Please include their content in your next reply.
