Hello and :welcome: :

MBAM is not an anti-virus (AV) and does not replace an AV: Does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware replace antivirus software?
To the contrary, MBAM Premium is a specialized anti-MALWARE application specifically designed to run in real-time alongside a robust AV.
It provides complementary, layered protection against the sort of zero-hour and zero-day threats that are often missed by an AV.

Thank you for your interest and support.

Hi,

No, Teague, it will not harm your computer. :)

MBAM is NOT an AV. See here: Does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware replace antivirus software?

MBAM Premium is specifically designed to run alongside your AV, to provide protection against the sort of threats the AV can miss.

That is called "layered" protection.
