logs, logs and more logs

Recommended Posts

I'm running MBAM paid with no issues on 5 computers.

But I looked in here: C/Program Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\Logs and had more than a year's worth of logs stored.

Is there some setting so that I can have MBAM cleanup after itself and perhaps only store a month or two worth of logs?

Hi:

There's really no need to do so, as they don't take up much room.
It's a good idea to keep a few around, just in case.

But, if you wish to do delete them, then you can open the dashboard > history > application logs.
Then, you can either select certain logs in the left column > "Delete", or you can click the "Delete All" button.

A clean reinstall of the program will also remove them.

You can sort by date in Explorer and remove those you no longer want. It will not affect the program to remove logs using Windows Explorer. As daledoc1 said I would recommend probably keeping a few of them for reference.

There has been a recommendation to add a log control feature to a future program update but when or if that will be implemented I don't have any other details on at this time.

Thank you

Thanks for noting that this might be a useful feature for some of us.

Yes I've gone through the logs on 4 computers and removed most. I made a note to myself to do this every so often.

I see no need to keep protection logs that are more than one year old.

Thanks.
