I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'm posting it in this forum. I'm having problems with my PC ever since I did a repair install which I did because of the problems I was having with the PC before the repair install. It started off with my computer being even slower than it was before I did the repair install. Perhaps there was something I need to set up or tweak that I don't know about? I am now getting a BSOD every day now.. I do NOT want to do a clean fresh install of my operating system since the whole point of the repair install was to keep all installer programs and other things intact. The repair install gave my operating system a fresh start, so why is it slow, and now having BSOD's?

Hello and :welcome: :

BSOD can be the result of hardware problems, driver issues, or even malware (rootkits).

For starters, we need a bit of preliminary system information.

Please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

The forum staff and expert members will review those logs and provide additional advice about how to proceed with attempted diagnosis and repair.

Thank you,

Hello 4youte:

You may receive email notifications if the "Follow this topic" button, near the upper-right corner of this topic's thread, is left-clicked.

Despite the Windows Repair Install, the logs indicate the computer might benefit from malware removal actions which are not permitted in this sub-forum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also Copy and Paste (not attach) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic.

Thank you. :)
