Remove PUP on User System from the Management Console?

I am new to the Malwarebytes Management Console.  Setup was easy and we are in a testing phase.  The policy is currently set to list PUPs but not to remove them.  Reason being, we want to see what is there to ensure we don't remove something that is legitimate.

 

Looking at Clients\Threat View and have excluded legitimate entries.  When I right click on non-legitimate entries I see options to exclude but I don't see an option to remove from the client, only remove log entry. 

 

Is there a way to remove the non-legitimate entries from the client systems from the management console?

You would think that this would be the first thing answered in the PDF manual! The only thing I can see is to walk over to each of my clients and manually delete the actual file.

Hi folks.

 

If your policy is set to just list PUPs and PUMs, you cannot remove them from the console. You will have to individually go to the machine to remove them.

 

I can forward this as feedback to our developers as a potential feature in future builds, however.

Question - If I change the policy to show in results list and check for removal, can an item be restored from the console if it turns out to be a legitimate item?

Absolutely.  I believe versions 1.3 and high should have this functionality.

 

It can also be added to the ignore list for the policy in the same way, so you can make sure it's not detected again.
