Please Help

I had had the paid version of Malwarebytes for about a year now and everything has been fine until about 3 months ago. My Internet Explorer has vanished from my computer some how, and my Chrome browser is totally infected with massive adware to included a pop up everytime i click something and having certain keywords highlighted in blue not letting me click certain links and what not. I do scans with malwarebytes and it might pick up something here or there but most of the time is says nothing is detected. Was wondering if anyone knew what was up with this. and another thing, how to get my IE back. I have tried installing both but it does nothing. IE will install but never pops back up has being installed and chrome is pretty much useless now with all the pop ups and inwindow crap that appears when i go to websites. Any help would be appreciated, really dont want to reformat my PC, but if thats what it comes to I will.
