BSOD - BAD_POOL_HEADER

Recommended Posts

Hi,

For several weeks now I've been getting random BSOD's. Checking the dump files with www.osronline.com suggests the issue is related to Malwarebytes:

Debugging Details:
------------------

TRIAGER: Could not open triage file : e:\dump_analysis\program\triage\modclass.ini, error 2
BUGCHECK_STR: 0x19_20
POOL_ADDRESS: GetPointerFromAddress: unable to read from 839ac71c
Unable to read MiSystemVaType memory at 8398c160
8c34cbe0
CUSTOMER_CRASH_COUNT: 1
DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: WIN7_DRIVER_FAULT
PROCESS_NAME: mbamservice.ex
CURRENT_IRQL: 0
LAST_CONTROL_TRANSFER: from 8d8ca77b to 839631b6

Following advice from this forum I've followed the MBAM CLEAN REMOVAL PROCESS.
Since then I have had a couple more BAD_POOL_HEADER crashes so have run the suggested diagnostics to produce the requested logs. See attached.

Any help with resolving this would be very helpful. Thanks!

Gerrard.

Hello Gerrard and :welcome:

The logs indicate it would be best to begin with the Malware Removal Experts.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also Copy and Paste (not attach) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic.

Thank you. :)
