Malwarebytes Anti-Malaware Administrator Glitch?

Recommended Posts

Hello I recently updated this product to it's newest version. However, whenever I put something into the desktop or try to delete or move anything it asks for my admin password. It could be a coincidence that it happened at the same time but I don't know why it happened. I did a threat scan and nothing bad popped up. If there is anything I should try doing it would be nice to know.

Do you by any chance have Self Protection Enabled? If so try and turn that feature on and see if it corrects your issue.

I just turned on self protection. (Did not have it on before.) Sadly it still asks me to grant permision.

Lets try a fresh re-install of Malwarebytes....

when you uninstall Malwarebytes and before your re-install, see if you still can't add or remove items from your desktop, then re-install Malwarebytes.....

Thank You,

I my permissions as admin were being blocked. I re enabled them and my computer is working fine now. As for the virus possibility I will look into that soon.Even if Malwarebytes had something to do with this I love the support of the people and the product. Thank you very much!
