“scanner failed with error code 8”

Hi:
 
Nope, I'm not familiar with that code.
(I am just a home user and forum volunteer, but I don't recall seeing it reported recently/ever.)
 
There is a KB topic for a similar code here: What should I do if I receive the error "Scanner Failed with Error Code: 6" after a scan?
But that related to a database issue that was fixed months ago.

Standard troubleshooting starts here (I understand that you have reinstalled once, so you might want to skip to step #2 and post the requested logs):

  • Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  • If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
