I had recently started noticing some oddities with my system whenever it loaded gmail. For one, a command prompt window would open. For two, I couldn't use google talk. Intrigued, I decided to use Windows 8.1's built in rapid screenshot system to catch a glimpse of the command prompt window. What I found is labeled as "Event 1" in this post's attachments.

I did a google search about the subject, but couldn't find anything. Further intrigued, I decided to hunt down the directory the command prompt window referenced. What I found is labeled "Event 2".

Upon deletion of this folder, you can reload the page, then manually load the google talk application and actually use it. After this initial use, a series of files related to google talk are generated in the Google Talk Plugin folder. I've attached the redirect file to this post, I would like to know if it does anything malicious other than break the google talk plugin. A Malwarebytes scan reveals nothing.

Any suggestions / advice you could provide would be appreciated.
