Since, you know, a lot of people also have older versions of Android and they don't have the fixed up vulnerabilities in newer android versions... Thanks If people still use the default (vulnerable) web browser in old versions of Android instead of up-to-date Chrome or Firefox, then I also can't imagine that they will install a separate application to prevent the exploitation of vulnerabilities. Furthermore, currently there is no evidence that vulnerabilities present in old versions of Android are being massively exploited in the wild.
