Suddenly unresponsive computer/browsers

Hello, I have bben struggling with diagnosing a problem that seems to have begun today.

When opening firefox or chrome, the browsers are unresponsive for a very long time.

When trying to open task manager (it also took a very long time to open) to see what processes are using processor/memory, I saw "svchost.exe" (-k netsvcs, I think)  and multiple instances of "taskeng.exe" while the HDD sound like it was chugging along.

I was not able to download a new copy of FRST as Norton or something else was removing FRST as the download completed. I did run a version of FRST from fall of 2014.

An updated malwarebytes scan found nothing. A MBAR scan found nothing. Roguekiller scan found some things. After a reboot Norton says it found and removed "Suspicious.Cloud.7.EP" from the chrome appdata directory, which I recall Norton had found in the distant past. No other removal actions were manually taken.

Attached are the FRST log, Roguekiller log, and others.

Thank you for your help, and I hope this is something simple and or nothing at all.
