I have MB Pro on 2 machines. Om one of them, even though I have "Scan For Rootkits" checked, it shows in the log as disabled. (see attached screen caps) That is NOT the case on the other machine.

I am running (on both machines) a 2nd anti-rootkit program, Greatis Reg Run. I have sent them their log, & they say I am clean.

Wondering what's up here? Is it a known bug, or might I have a problem?

Also, on this machine only, MBAE won't let IE run unless i shut MBAE off. It gives a generic stopped an exploit" message. I ONLY use IE for MS update, I usually use Firefox & occasionally Opera.

Win XP SP3, all current (lol) patches.

Hi:

I will reply to your many questions about different products (MBAM and MBAE) separately, to minimize confusion.

I also just noticed it shows "Startup Disabled". That is NOT the case. It is checked & it does start with Windows.

Both of those sound like cosmetic/logging bugs that are known to the QA/dev team and that are on the slate for a fix with a future version.

>>As for the other issues with MBAM --  on ONE rig at a time --  If rebooting the computer does not solve the issue with the anti-rootkit driver, please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt).

Thank you,

This is the MBAM section of the forum. ;)

For problems or technical issues with MBAE, please:

  1. Follow the requested steps here: [README FIRST] How to post here
  2. Then, please start a new topic (including the requested logs) here: Anti-Exploit Product Support

Thank you again,
