gg14870 Posted February 4, 2015 ID:936016 Share Posted February 4, 2015 Hello, I experienced the strangest thing happen to my Alienware laptop. I shut it down at 10:00 A.M.; everything is normal. I come back at 2:00 P.M and turn it back on. I find that I cannot run any programs as administrator or perform any administrator function for that matter. I get this error message when I try to run as admin: The specified service does not exist as an installed service. MBAM and Norton have not flagged any malicious software. I do not recall downloading anything that would potentially harm my computer. As per my issue, I was unable to run the Farber Recovery Scan Tool. Appreciate any help.
