Malware or something was preventing Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit from running when I booted my computer this morning, so I clicked on short cut and it still wouldn't run. Then I downloaded the latest version from this website and installed it, and it still wouldn't run. So I figured malware did this to the program, and I went to scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium( I pay for the service because it active protection works better that other programs in my book). When I tried to scan it told me the root kit engine wouldn't load, and I would have to reboot for it to load. I figured the malware got to this program too! I clicked Ok to reboot and it scanned on reboot. The scan found nothing! I had the five other anti-spyware programs I have installed scanning too all full system scans. None of them found anything either! So I went and looked for anti root kit programs. I found at least 6 of them including Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit, I went to scan with that it told me I had to exit Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium. I did that but it still wouldn't work, so I ended up uninstalling it so I could use anti-rootkit. I ran that program while simultaneously running all the other rootkit software and my anti-virus program on my computer, all of this took about five hours! Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit found nothing neither did any of the other software! I am perplexed?! The final thing I do is run SFC/scannow using the administrative command prompt in case the malware replaced system files, or corrupted system files. I tells me that it has repaired system files, and I think maybe that was it! I've restarted my computer a few times and anti-exploit still is not working! But know I think to myself use the power uninstaller program I have installed to uninstall anti-exploit and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium, incase the malware put something in the registry that prevents the programs from working right, maybe it will clear the entry's, with all the other registry info it gets rid of left over from when a program uninstalls. I figure I do it first with the anti-exploit and see if it works, so I uninstall anti-exploit with the program, restart the computer then reinstall anti-exploit. That done I restart my computer to see if it worked. It didn't anti-exploit wasn't working. I say to myself, I can live without it, but I can't live without Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium running or working. I had uninstalled it with the power uninstall, so I reinstall it, then go into settings and activate hardened mode, and uncheck delay by 15 second, and set the program to load early. I figure that this won't give the malware the opportunity to interfere with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium. Thinking that in hardened mode the program protects itself, and loading first, it won't be interfered with! I restart my computer and success Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium loads, and when I use the scanner, it loads the root kit engine too and runs right, but still not finding any malware! Also for some reason Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit is now loaded and running! I restart my computer many times and both programs are working right for now! My question is. Am I still infected?  If so, what will the malware do next? I had Torrex p2p software installed, but only downloaded movies. I uninstalled it as per instructions. I don't see how this happened with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium running at all times, and another anti spyware program also running, along with anti virus?post-182572-0-93294100-1422571771_thumb.FRST.txtAddition.txt

Hello,

They call me TwinHeadedEagle around here, and I'll be working with you.

Before we start please read and note the following:

  • Limit your internet access to posting here, some infections just wait to steal typed-in passwords.
  • Please be patient. I know it is frustrating when your PC isn't working properly, but malware removal takes time.
  • Don't run any scripts or tools on your own, unsupervised usage may cause more harm than good.
  • Do not paste the logs in your posts, attachments make my work easier. There is a More reply options button, that gives you Upload Files option below which you can use to attach your reports. Always attach reports from all tools.
  • Always execute my instructions in given order. If for some reason you cannot completely follow one instruction, inform me about that.
  • Stay with me to the end, the absence of symptoms doesn't mean that your machine is fully operational.
  • Note that we may live in totally different time zones, what may cause some delays between answers.
  • Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay someone to repair it.
  • If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.

:excl: I can't foresee everything, so if anything unexpected happens, please stop and inform me!
:excl: There are no silly questions. Never be afraid to ask if in doubt!

  warning.gif Rules and policies

We won't support any piracy.
That being told, if any evidence of illegal OS, software, cracks/keygens or any other will be revealed, any further assistance will be suspended. If you are aware that there is this kind of stuff on your machine, remove it before proceeding!
The same applies to any use of P2P software: uTorrent, BitTorrent, Vuze, Kazaa, Ares... We don't provide any help for P2P, except for their removal. All P2P software has to be uninstalled or at least fully disabled before proceeding!

Failure to follow these guidelines will result with closing your topic and withdrawning any assistance.

I do not recommend usage of IOBIT products, they have bad reputation, and are prone to create problems. That is why I suggest to uninstall:
- Advanced SystemCare 8
- Driver Booster
- Game Booster
- IObit Malware Fighter
- IObit Uninstaller
- Smart Defrag 2
- Surfing Protection

When you see a word "Booster", "Optimizer", "TuneUp" or similar it is often some kind of silly application. You cannot "boost" you system more than it actually is. Microsoft optimized Windows perfectly and they are constantly working on improvements, so these tools are just selling you nothing but "fog".

Only way to actually boost your system is to upgrade your hardware by adding SSD, more processor power or more ram memory.

I followed your instructions and here are the log files you asked for, but I'm afraid that I am going to be forced to reinstall windows! I dread reinstalling all my programs and files even though I have them backed up. I am having problems with Windows not booting and loading right, and programs loading slowly as time has progressed from the other day. But I'll wait until I hear back from you. The scan came up clean so I don't know what else you can do, even though I know some malware must be causing this. I mean it looks like all the Malwarebytes products where targeted, so I don't think its a software conflict or a windows problem. Hopefully there's more we can try before I'm forced to reinstall windows.
