Hi & let me apologize if this really simple & I just can't see it.

Have two files Quarantined but cannot read the Vendor name nor the Date.  Both columns are truncated.

in Vendor all I see ...hrome.INJ

&

in Date ...15 1:48:42 PM

Would like to know the vendor & date.  I do have scan logs going back three months, do I have to search each day's scan log?

The files belong to PowerDVD (CyberLink) which I realize doesn't mean anything, could be bogus.

On another note I have not logged in here in 7 months or so but somehow my password got whacked.  Tried to send a reset to my username which did not work, however sending a reset to my email id worked immediately.  Did something happen while I was gone?

Thank you

Hi:

Issue 1: mouse over the column dividers until you see the "<---> " and use the sliders to change the column widths.
You can also export the scan logs to a txt file (instructions are below).

Issue 2: Yes, there was a problem with the forum back in November, and it was relocated. All members were sent emails from Malwarebytes requesting that forum members change their password.

If Malwarebytes Anti-Malware finds multiple malware items often, then you might still be infected or reinfected. If you would like free, expert help checking the system, then I suggest that you might want to please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the suggested, preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will assist you with looking into your issue.

Addendum: There was a false positive for these reported and already fixed several hours ago, with database 2015.01.27.10.

So, you might want to be sure you have the current database and then rescan.

Attach a scan log to your next reply, if you are not sure.

Hi:

Issue 1: mouse over the column dividers until you see the "<---> " and use the sliders to change the column widths.

Yes I was placing the cursor over the column dividers but not actually touching the Vendor or Date column, just the dividers between the files.  Knew I was being dumb.

Issue 2: Yes, there was a problem with the forum back in November, and it was relocated. All members were sent emails from Malwarebytes requesting that forum members change their password.

& I even have that very email in my Malwarebytes folder, being double dumb

Those CyberLink files were quarantined just this afternoon.  Sorry for being so slow this evening.  So should I Restore them & then rescan?  DB is current.

Thank you

Hi,

This discussion may need to be transferred to the appropriate forum section (File Detections False Positives).

However, we cannot say anything definitive without seeing the scan log(s), as requested in my original reply >>here<< and >>here<< and >>here<<. ;)

So, for starters, I suggest that you please attach the log(s) to your next reply in this thread.

We'll go from there.

Thanks,

I thought if the two files in question were the same files listed in the FP https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/164049-power-dvd-dll-files-found-as-threats-pritty-sure-this-is-a-fp/ then there was no reason to be concerned?  They were the exact same files.

Anyway yesterday, after restoring the files & a successful clean scan I deleted all application logs.  I did not handle this thread very well & a little more research on my part would have negated posting @ all.  For that I apologize.

thank you
