I have MBAM (paid for).

Due to an ongoing concern, I have loaded MBAR and tried to run.

It says that I must come right out of MBAM in order to run it.

Disabled MBAM notifications but I still got that message.

So how do I stop MBAM - without having to delete the prog and then reload it - please?

Hi:

You need to right-click the MBAM system tray icon to EXIT the program before running the current version of standalone MBAR Beta.
This is a temporary workaround for current version of MBAM and the current version of MBAR beta.

Having said that, MBAR Beta is a powerful tool and is not something a home user would need to run routinely and without expert help.

So, if you think you might be infected, I suggest that you might want to please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the suggested, preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will assist you with looking into your issue.

Thanks,
