FroggerBlogger Posted December 26, 2014 ID:922834 Share Posted December 26, 2014 Hi, all. I recently downloaded a virus (I'm assuming) named Spyware Clear. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I was trying to download a radio application and when I did Spyware Clear and two other malicious looking programs downloaded with it. Immediately my computer started to act slow, inoperable. I shut it down, booted to safe more and ran Malware Bytes. There were about 10 non-malicous items found so I quarantined those. After struggling to get it to work, I finally did system restore to 3 days earlier. After this completed, the programs showed right back up. I then removed the programs from add/remove programs but the computer is still acting weird and I don't want to take any chances. I am not sure what other programs I should run to make sure my computer is not infected. I would appreciate very much anyone who could help me out. Thank you, Ryan

TwinHeadedEagle Posted December 28, 2014 ID:923366 Share Posted December 28, 2014 Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine. After that let the tool complete its run. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.Please post it to your reply. Fix with AdwCleaner Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save the file to your Desktop.Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.Wait until the database is updated.Accept the Terms of use and click Scan. When finished, please click Clean.Upon completion, click Report. FroggerBlogger Posted December 28, 2014 Author ID:923511 Share Posted December 28, 2014 The computer, right now, does not connect to the internet wirelessly and if I plug it in it is *extremely intermittent. So I have to use two computers while I am working on it. It is breathing hard, but it's not really freezing up or anything like that. I can move around, just the internet is not working really and the fans are very loud. After running the programs not much has changed. Prior to me deleting the Spyware Clear program the computer was in a sluggish, almost freezing up status. After I uninstalled Spyware Clear I was able to move around. But yes, after running the two tools nothing has changed really and the computer won't connect wirelessly, fans are loud, and if I hardwire internet the internet still only works about 5% of the time. FroggerBlogger Posted January 2, 2015 Author ID:925413 Share Posted January 2, 2015 It is definitely running a lot better now. It still seems like it might not be running as good as it was before Spyware Clear showed up. It's tough to tell though. I did just re-run malwarebytes and found 1 non-malware item. I could just try to keep running it and see how it does. Are there any other programs that I should run to make sure it is fine?
