Rootkits....

Hi all,

I am new here and would like to ask a question please..

I am NOT tech knowledgeable at all. So,could someone kindly explain to me what a "root" is?

Are there roots in PC's? and in mobile phones?

I know I don't sound very smart,but I do not know what it means..

While there is malware for both iOS and Android, for the most part, these infections affect Windows devices (desktop PCs, laptops, and tablets).
 
"Rooting" an Android device (such as a smartphone) is different: Rooting (Android OS)
This applies to the Android OS (smartphones, tablets, etc).
 
Do you think you might be infected?

A malware analyst will guide you through the scanning cleanup process.
