Tristan2 Posted December 18, 2014 ID:920626 Share Posted December 18, 2014 I've just checked my Windows task manager because my computer (Windows 8) was running very slowly and found two instances of Malware Bytes running. Both instances were using 400MB each. The post two years ago said that the memory usage of Malware Bytes was going to be less than 100MB not more! Also these random popups from Malware Bytes are starting to annoy me. I'm a premium user of the product and still get popups like, 'Your product needs updating' and there is a Fix Now button. When you click the, 'Fix Now' button nothing happens at all. Also the other day a popup appeared showing an IP address and Port and nothing else. It had the Mayware Bytes logo in the top left of the popup. The popup didn't explain at all what the IP address or Port mean't and when you hover over the Malware Bytes tray icon, it gives you the option to allow the IP in web exclusions. This was a really cool bit of software, but I'm starting to lose the excitement I once had for it.

This topic is from 2012 and the information is quite old, and Malwarebytes had been updated so many times since then.... It is normally frowned upon to reply to topics that are that old... That being said.... Hi, and , Tristan2: Sorry to hear you are having issues. Each computer is unique. Problems that sound "the same" most often are not. The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized. It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic". Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using the button. (where we can help you in your own topic) The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running. Thanks for your patience and understanding, Firefox
