murof Posted December 15, 2014 ID:919764 Share Posted December 15, 2014 hello, sorry if my question is stupid but my English is really bad and I just saw this sentence for the first time in Mbae log .... mozilla firefox and addon has been enforced with bottomup aslr ... i never ever see that... and "enforced" in french language is "forcé" same as "forced" or "enter by force" so i suspect a problem ... but my english is very bad ^^ so ... sorry for second time but ... can you say me if it is a normal log entry or not ? thanks a lot by advance . The quick and short answer is that this is normal, there is nothing to worry about. As of version 1.05 MBAE introduces a new Layer 0 group of techniques to "harden" applications so that they are less vulnerable to exploit attacks. "Hardening" means to make applications stronger or more resilient to attack. The Layer 0 includes a few different techniques to achieve this objective, such as DEP Enforcement, Anti-HeapSpraying and BottomUpASLR. PS: moving this thread to the Questions sub-forum.
