I have 2 licensed copies of MBAM Premium. Updated both today to


In both cases the dashboard shows all is well. HOWEVER, in both cases


mbam-check result log version: shows:


Type:                   N/A
State:                  0 <--CAN NOT OPEN SC_HANDLE, SERVICE IS NOT RUNNING FOR: MbamWebAccessControl
WIN32_EXIT_CODE:        N/A
CHECKPOINT:             N/A
WAIT_HINT:              N/A"


Do I have a problem?


I have rebooted several times since update & install.

In a W7 Pro x64 SP1 system, running MBAM Premium, that same isolated excerpt from CheckResults.txt might usually read:

However, to more fully understand the context of your observation, much more diagnostic information should begin to be taken into account:

  • Please read the following and individually attach the 3 requested logs in a reply to this thread: Diagnostic Logs.
  • The 3 files, from Step 1, to be individually attached from your desktop are: CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt. Please do not Copy and Paste them into a reply.

Are you observing any other symptoms or issues that prompted you to post here besides Malicious Website Protection disabled?

Upon receipt of the diagnostic logs, an expert/staffer may be requested to assist with a detailed analysis.

I have a similar problem: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium with database 2014.12.6.8. Anti-virus is NIS with latest updates.


On boot a notification is shown saying Protection Disabled and the Malwarebytes tray icon has an exclamation enclosed in a red circle.


Opening the UI under Real-Time protection has an X enclosed in a red circle: Malicious Website Protection disables, Malware Protection enabled.


Re-installing the program and updating the database and re-booting does not resolve the issue.


Ran mbam-check- and frst64.exe, uploaded Addition.txt, FRST.txt and CheckResults.txt as indicated in another locked post relating to this situation.


Suggestions are welcome.

We are disappointed to read your system is having issues. Each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized to your unique system.
