BSOD KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_FOUND

Recommended Posts

Hello Malware Forums,

I don't really know how to start off this post because a blue screen doesn't have to mean that I have a virus, right? It could be hardware related.

I thought I would contact the reliable people here who have helped me in the past.

Don't know if I should follow this: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/

or post some other sort of log files pertinent to Blue screen problems?

Here's a CBS log that I ran based on this site:  http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2051573/windows-bsod.html

Thanks for all your help,

Daniel

Blue screens are usually hardware driver problems. What you want to do, so you can write down the error, is to go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Start Up and Recovery and uncheck Automatically restart. This will keep the Blue Screen on the monitor until you hard reboot. It will contain a load of information.

You can do a Google search for Blue Screen to read up on the info contained.

One program to help read a blue screen dump is Nirsoft Bluescreen View. I have it installed on all my machines.

After all my years, Blue Screens still drive me crazy. Windows 7 & 8 have very few compaired to XP.

Hello thebigd:

If your system is infected,  malware removal actions are not permitted in this sub-forum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also Copy and Paste (not attach) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic.

Thank you. :)
