I scanned my phone with MBAM and it showed the Google Play Store to be an infection. After doing some research it appears the phone I bought has been pre-installed with malware disguised as the Google Play Store. I tried to delete it but it won't let me.

Is there anyway I can remove it?

Will I be able to install a clean version of the Play Store?

It sounds like this, which according to the article is part of the firmware and cannot be removed:

"Unfortunately, removing the Trojan is not possible as it is part of the device's firmware and apps that fall into this category cannot be deleted. This includes the fake Google Play Store app of the N9500." ...
The expert advises affected customers to contact the respective online shop to return the device.
