Failure to Open Malwarebytes and Failure to Update Chameloen

My computer has started working in a way that would point to their being some type of infection. When I try to open Malwarebytes nothing happens and when I run Chameleon it fails to update and eventually terminates due to the inability to start the scan. Please help me fix this problem.
