COM Surrogate dllhost.exe *32

Recommended Posts

Today. For no reason. I installed nothing at all. I saw some executable-box flash for like a second. Well, I am not sure, if it was an executable or not, it happened too fast. It was like a small window. It appeared for a moment and disappeared. I wondered what it was. Anyway. Soon after I had like 20 or more instances of dillhost.exe *32 in my task manager. They were taking up my CPU usage and memory. After I kill the process they come back up again.

Hello and :welcome: :

We can't work on malware diagnostics and removal in this sub-section of the forum.

So, for expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will guide you through the cleanup process.

Thanks,

Hi:

Alas, no, I cannot move it. :(
Only the mod team can do so.

Please start, however, with the instructions here:Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers.

The advice there -- including running some preliminary scans and including the logs in a new post in the correct forum section -- will help you get off to a faster start over in the malware removal section.

Thanks,
