Tyro Terminal Adapter false positive (Backdoor.MSIL.PGen)

Tyro Terminal Adapter is the software component of the second largest EFTPOS payment gateway in Australia. Their terminal adapter software installer is being reported by MBAM as containing Backdoor.MSIL.PGen

 

The installer is downloadable from here: https://integrationdownloads.tyro.com/TyroTerminalAdapter/Current/Setup(TyroTerminalAdapter).exe

 

This setup program is a downloader that downloads the latest version from the web (this is to prevent new installations from using old software, it seems). It is this newly downloaded installer that is reported as infected. I don't know the direct URL to the .msi installer, sorry.

 

Tyro are aware of the false positive, but haven't done anything about it.
