SP.dll Win32 Spigot

I've gotten about six alerts from Avast for a malware called Win32 Spigot, or SP.dll when I move it to quarantine. It always says "No other action required", but my computer is slowing down and "eating" documents (it replaced one with all # signs- although this is a known OO error).

 

Malwarebytes removed five PUP programs, the last of which was called "My Emoticons" or something like that. 

 

Please assist.

UPDATE: I ran an Adwcleaner scan and got rid of the Search Protection program that's often associated with Spigot programs.
