Need help removing this hijacker - d.mobcgm.com

Hello,

 

I need some help removing this browser HiJacker program. It appears to only be attached to Google Chrome as I am not having an issue with IE. I already checked Chrom's settings to disable any extensions and I already check Add/Remove programs to remove any unwanted software.

 

Malware bytes keeps blocking the site url but it wont remove the virus/malware from the computer. A scan doesn't even find it. This malware is also causing trouble when I boot into safe mode. 

 

I just downloaded Malwarebytes last week to try and fix this and am still in trial. I would love to purchase this program for future protection but am uncomfortable with that since it isn't solving my current issue. 

 

Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem going on.  Just started to show up.  I am not nearly as computer savy as many others on this forum so need a lot of help to get rid of this. 

step by step instructions if possible.

Reset the browser to default settings. (Backup your bookmarks)

gnohs thanks for the quick reply but can you be more specific because I just installed Chrome on my computer and not familiar with the settings yet. Don't know how to backup bookmarks and even reset default settings. TY

Click the icon with the 3 horizontal lines. This is your menu. Highlight bookmarks, goto bookmark manager. Click Organize and export your settings.

 

Click that menu icon again and goto settings. Click Show advanced settings, All the way at the bottom click Rest Settings. Click Reset. 

 

You can also try to download and run hitman pro. if that doesnt work.

TY seems to be working great so far. Can't tell you how much I appreciate the help!!! Can you tell me how I can set the setting in Chrome like I have them in IE if that's possible.
